A poem heard in a small, village school sets Manav onto the task to find ‘the image of childhood’. In his endeavour, the classroom window, a fallen tree, a burning forest - all begin to define the terrains of his imagination.

When I Was Small
Young children hear the ancient myth of Mahabharata from a storyteller. The myth allows the young minds to meander as they traverse complex terrains of childhood, a memory revisited for the filmmaker. A thorn amongst the flowers, a story within a story, the tale seeps into our dreams, the place where demons go to sleep.

Playful weeds, inquisitive dragonflies and wildflowers find their way onto her mugs, carrying the presence of the forest into her artistic work.

A Thousand Colours of Jamini Roy
Known as the father of folk renaissance in India, Jamini Roy was an artist renowned for his use of bright colours, bold and sweeping brushstrokes and two-dimensional renditions of human, animal and mythological forms, influenced by traditional Bengali folk motifs and Kalighat Paintings.
This experimental documentary film explores the pallete of the revered artist.
